Professional Experience:

 

Arpan has over 24 years of professional structural engineering experience. He has worked at several structural engineering firms specialized in commercial (office, office-warehouse), government (schools, justice centers) churches (religious), industrial, multifamily (apartments), custom residential type structures, in the capacity of senior project engineer managing project from the conceptual stage to completing the construction administration. Arpan has worked in Indiana for a multi-branch engineering firm, where he was a senior engineer in charge of completing the projects like schools, government annexes, police stations, fire stations, industrial structures, hotels. After working in Indiana, Arpan moved to Arizona, where he worked at prestigious firms as a senior project engineer on projects like office, office -warehouse, religious, sports facilities (stadium club houses), theatre complexes, retail malls, type of building facilities. Arpan has employed concrete tilt-up multi-story load bearing masonry, steel frames, post-tension elevated plates, wood, concrete frame type of systems on numerous projects, with experiences working for projects in Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Tennessee, New York, Texas, Arizona and California. Arpan has also worked in Santa Barbara, California, performing seismic structural engineering for offices, schools, mixed use and custom residential type of buildings.

 

From August 2011 thru’ May 2013, Arpan Tailor was responsible for structural engineering scope for Mojave Solar Project within EPC group, located in California, manage structural engineering department (responsible for supervision of 3 engineers). Worked on Mojave Solar Project, a Solar thermal power facility in Mojave Desert in California, about 20 miles northwest of Barstow. The 280 MW concentric solar power (CSP) plant will cost an estimated $ 1.2 billion in total on 1765 acres site. The gross 280 MW solar electric generating facility will generate steam in solar steam generators, which will expand through a steam turbine generator to produce electrical power from twin, independently operable solar fields, each feeding a 140 MW power island

 

Since March 2007 Arpan is a principal of Arun, Inc., where he supervises and manages day-to-day operations. He is in-charge of engineering work including research for new design materials, methods, latest industry trends, technical code updates, client relationship and business development. Arpan is also responsible for defining new business arenas and practices for the firm.
